Cinderella. We all know the Disney version, we all love the Disney version, and we here at The Hare & Style have no interest in replacing your love for the Disney version. What we intend to do is expand your view of who Cinderella can be. Two weeks ago, while online I read a challenge by Negin Mirsalehi, promoting the new Cinderella movie, to recreate the infamous shoe drop and my team got very excited! But I wasn’t about to do any other post; working with an incredible model, who happens to be an amazing and inspiring human being as well, we have for you a different look at not only Cinderella, but also that scene with the glass slipper. So join us for a three part installment of Cinderella: The Tale of an Italian Bella.
Playing the part of Bella: Jessica Vinciguerra
Playing the part of Lucifer: Humza, The Hare
Playing the part of Drizella: RachelGrace Oliver
The Beginning:
We start this tale with Bella, wandering in the woods lining the manor contemplating her life, dreaming of a life far more adventourous. With Bella on her walk is the hare, Lucifer and the stepsister, Drizella. In the thaw of spring, both girls find themselves bonding outside the confines of the manor and the watchful gaze of their mother. Bella is seen wearing an Urban Outfitter shawl while Drizella is outfitted with a Janessa Leon hat.
I never believe in looking at people as black or white, bad or good, i feel that everyone has dimention and depth and I made sure that we brought that view to our characters. I wanted our Cinderella to have a more vibrant nature, with a more reflective nature, and a heart that still loved Lucifer even though he was prone to mischief. And Drizella is like that too, you will see in this shoot, outside of the manor she finds herself befriending Bella, smiling, enjoying herself despite the cold. I hope you get as much joy from this installment series as we did shooting it.
Lots of love,
