So, I don’t know how familiar you all are with your Old School Hip Hop, but I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s listening to some of the coolest and probably most inappropriate songs (considering I was in elementary school) that were out then. I have such different taste in music now leaning more toward folk and old Americana, but there is always a part of me that is excited by my old music collection. Anyway, let’s get to the point.
Earlier this month Kat Graham came out with a new song, 1991 and it brought memories of all those old songs back and so when I bought the song this past Monday I decided what this week’s #GetToListening Playlist was going to be about. Pay attention to TLC’s song as that is the inspiration for Kat’s song. So kick back, relax, or try and remember how your dance routine with your BFF went back when this came out. For those that didn’t grow up back then I’m sorry because that just sucks for you, but here is your introduction to the awesomeness that was my youth…oh and you’re welcome.
