Fishtail braids started this whole thing, the need for a new twist on a braid. Remember the waterfall braid we all YouTubed a thousand times in order to master? Trust us, it’s a lot harder on your own head than on a friend…As beauty has undergone a transformation from heavy contouring and layers for the winter to light almost imperceptible highlights so has hair. Gone are the perfect blowouts, the perfect top bun and in are the “I swear I just threw this together as I ran out the door” look. It’s summer, so you’re often on the run from work, to early dinner with friends, or festivals. The need for softer yet still put together looks are having an incredible moment. With inspiration taken from companies like FreePeople and the Spring runways we’ve dedicated this piece to those braids. From fishtail, to french, and to pulling your braid into the updated chignog.
