Christmas, Forth of July, Valentine’s Day are all high on the list of days people look forward to. For me this just isn’t the case. My high comes from those days leading up to and right after the holidays because my friends, those are the prime days to find those exquisite items you drool over day in and day out. No? Not your life story? Well, it is most definitely mine and the team at The Hare and Style can attest to this as they have seen the fervor with which I scour the net for the best deals.
Case in point, the obsessive nature of my search for the perfect price point for a designer pump over the course of the weekend through Monday. To be honest, I spent most of my waking moments during the weekend working on other shoots and write ups for the blog; however, those last three hours of the night Friday through Sunday were spent deep in the heart of Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Barneys, and Net-a-Porter.
By Monday, I had filled and emptied online shopping carts roughly twenty times before I decided enough was enough. After spending the better part of the day ignoring everyone because I needed all of my hand eye coordination working on that shopping cart I decided to go with the one shoe that kept finding its way into the cart, the Saint Laurent pump you see below. I couldn’t help but let it find it’s way around the house and all over my furniture. Opening that box made my heart sing and I know that feeling won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. Who are we kidding, it’s a Saint Laurent, that will always make my heart flutter more than any firework or valentine ever could.
